Time to meet our fifth Cast Member…LIANNE DAVIS

Lianne Davis is proud to be performing in her second Open Book Players presentation. In her spare time, when she isn’t managing the chaos of 3 children, 3 dogs, 3 cats, work, and her husband, she enjoys sharing her time with her volunteer positions, and experiencing the beauty of the world around her. As she loves all things surrounding the spooky season, Something Wicked This Way Comes is right up her alley!

Our fourth cast member is…JOSIE DAVIS

Josie Davis is enjoying her 4th performance with Open Book Players. She is an avid lover of theatre in general and has participated in many productions and musicals. Outside of theatre, she occupies her time doing dance and singing as well as outdoor activities and lacrosse. She is very excited to be a part of this performance of Something Wicked This Way Comes.

Time to meet the third member of our cast for “Something Wicked This Way Comes”…DAVID MARSHALL

David Marshall… Although new to OBP, David is no stranger to community theater. Starting in junior high school, and continuing through life, Dave has been involved in some way. For many years he was an active member of Lewiston/Auburn CLT, Monmouth Community Players and Gaslight Theater in Hallowell. He has taken part in almost every aspect of little theater. The highlight of his theater experience was being the assistant director of A Chorus Line in an exchange to Moscow, Russia in 1993. After that he took a break from the hectic theater life, but when he was asked to take a small role in a CLT production, and was once again was bitten by the bug. His last time on stage was the part of Maurice in MCP’s Beauty & the Beast.
In the real world Dave and his wife own Fields of Dreams Soaps and live near the shore of the Tacoma Lakes in Monmouth.

Meet our second cast member…Reese Marquis

My name is Reese Marquis, I am a freshman at Oak Hill High school. I love drama and it has been an amazing hobby for me. This production has been an amazing experience for me and I’m so glad I chose to do this. It has dragged me into the world of Readers Theater and I hope to do more in the future.

MEET OUR CAST…”Something Wicked This Way Comes”…Kathleen Brainerd

Kathleen Brainerd has been with Open Book Players for over 15 years, appearing in “The Laramie Project,” “Reading Rumpus, “Requiem,””Picture of Dorian Grey” and many others. She has also performed extensively in several other community theaters: favorite parts include Imogene in “Four Old Broads,” Romaine in “Witness for the Prosecution” and Dottie/Mrs Claggett in “Noises Off.” She travels far and wide in her work and lives in West Gardiner with her husband, two dogs and a cat. She hopes the audience will have as much fun with “Something Wicked . . . As the the cast has!

Reading Rumpus…A Real Success!

It was simply a wonderful Reading Rumpus experience today! The cast performed well, the authors/illustrators were there and enjoyed seeing their children’s books “come to life”. Books were sold (by Mockingbird Bookstore) and autographed and the audience also enjoyed the performance. If you did not get a chance to see the performance, do buy the books…they are simply fabulous!

Reading Rumpus Event…

The Reading Rumpus event is almost here! Come and see these wonderful books performed and meet the authors/illustrators as well, not to mention you can purchase the books and get them autographed…these can make perfect birthday or Christmas presents as well!
